Western Electric 55G 3 loc R7-5
Western Electric 55G, 10 cent automatic prepay payphone or paystation. This antique telephone started out as a Gray 50G or similar model. It was converted by Western Electric to 10 cent operation.. Equipped with WE 2 coil relay, #5 dial, 706 receiver and the 635 "bulldog" transmitter. It retains an early cast coin gauge. Note the coin deflector behind the dial shroud and the 1B instruction card holder.
